We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at

Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing have been playing around with double IPAs of late, and with DirtWolf they create the hop bomb that will (for the time being) replace Hop Wallop, their previous year-round double IPA. Fans of that excellent beer should not lament its loss, however, because DirtWolf is every ounce the beer it was and then some. Brewed with loads of today’s hottest hops—Citra, Mossaic, Simcoe and Chinook—this hefty hop monster has the most wonderfully pungent bouquet of juicy, citrus-laden hops you can imagine. The taste follows suit, with bracing, dry bitterness balanced by a bread and biscuit malt body. Victory have been doing great beers for so long it’s sometimes easy to forget just how good they are. DirtWolf provides the perfect reminder at Eulogy, Cask and Mouse and, of course, Victory Beer Hall.
