We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at email@example.com.
The folks at Stone Brewing Co. are best known for their aggressive, borderline abrasive beers, so this one comes as a bit of a surprise. This is not only a coffee milk stout, which on its own is something of an outlier in Stone’s portfolio, but it’s also sessionable, easy drinking coffee milk stout, too! At just 4.2 percent ABV this is one of the lowest impact beers they do, even lower in alcohol than their Levitation and Go-ToIPA session ales. That does not, however, mean it’s low on taste. Fresh roasted coffee fills your nostrils, and bitter roast and milky sweetness highlights every sip. Though an inky black, this beer drinks light; thin body, soft mouthfeel, and nothing but tasty. After being at it for so long, how is Stone still getting better with every beer they do? This beer is brand spanking new, so look for it to start appearing on draft in the weeks ahead.
