We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note.
When you have a name like Arrogant Bastard and a label that tells beer lovers they probably don’t have the sophistication to appreciate the beer they're about to consume, you had better be prepared to deliver the goods. Arrogant Bastard does—and in a way that sets it apart from most other beers. This heady, deep copper-colored ale defies categorization; its deep brown malts suggest toffee and tobacco and soft brown chocolate, but whatever sweetness those malts might impart are assaulted by a barrage of aggressively bitter hops. The recipe is a closely guarded secret, so we can only guess what provides the herbal, resiny hop flavor and hints of burnt pine in the aroma. What we do know is that this is a brew all craft beer fans should try at least once. It might just be on tap at Tattooed Mom.
