We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note.
If you’re drinking in Philly, you should probably try this beer on principle alone. Brewed exclusively for Philly Beer Week, this flowery, floral saison by New York’s Southern Tier is far removed from the big, sweet beers Southern Tier is best known for. Rather than a high-octane explosion of booze and malts, this is a subtle, fragrant beer that gives off aromas of fresh soap (really) and recent rainfalls. The grassy, earthy tone often associated with saisons is subdued here, replaced instead with notes of flowers and lemongrass. So yeah, this is a little off the beaten path. Effervescent and bright, this is a beer you’ll want to enjoy on a hot day. Consider pairing it with a soft cheese. Though brewed for Philly Beer Week, 215 can still be found on draft, including at Time, The Trestle Inn and Fingers Wings and Other Things.
