We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at email@example.com.
The folks at Saranac have been putting out rock solid beers for so long it’s easy to take them for granted. They’ve rarely been outlandish, challenging, or aggressive in what they brew. Instead, they just make darn fine beer. Prism is their entry into the increasingly popular witbier arena, a hazy white ale with touches of spicing. This is a cloudy beer that gives off aromas of banana-tinged yeast and orangy citrus. The flavor follows suit, adding hints of lemongrass, peaches, and a faint wheat tang. There is some mild bitterness, but this is a beer that leans towards the sweeter end of the spectrum, making for a nice summer drinking alternative to Blue Moon. See for yourself at The Strip Joint.
