If there’s a love/hate corner of the craft beer world, it’s found in fruit beers. Some loudly proclaim them to be abominations affirming, “Fruit should never touch beer!” Others don’t much care about arbitrary rules, instead drinking whatever they damn well like. (It’s also worth noting that historically, beer made with fruit is far older than beer without.) If you fall into the latter category and like peaches, order a pint of RJ Rockers Son of a Peach. Drinking light and crisp, this unfiltered wheat beer offers a nice punch of peach flavor that is always there but never overpowering. It has a zesty, clean finish with the slightest sweet kiss at the end, reminding you the fruit is there while allowing the beer to remain a beer. Two peaches up!
We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
