“I was very disappointed in Table 31. I decided to take my husband there for his birthday on a Saturday night in January and the experience was sub-par for a supposed first rate Philadelphian steak house. When we arrived, we were sat at a very small table next to other diners. It was quite crowded. Our waiter, despite being affable and very knowledgeable of the menu, took a while to get to us because the hostess sat 3 tables at the same time. The food was good, however, no better than other steak houses in Philly. Midway through our meal, we heard a commotion down the hall from our table. Initially, we thought it was a rowdy party. In time we discovered that the vulgar language coursing through the hall came from no other than the head chef. Chef Scarduzio was berating his staff with language fit for Paris Island. His rant didn't last for a moment or two, he started in on his staff midway between our salads and first course and didn't come up for air until it was time to pay the check.”
