We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The biggest buzz in the craft beer world right now is Sierra Nevada’s collaboration with 12 different breweries, so we’ve been taking a look at a small cross section of these Beer Camp brews. Yonder Bock pairs up the makers of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with Cigar City, a Florida brewery that has garnered a lot of praise the last few years. Yonder Bock takes a traditional German style beer and gives it a tropical twist courtesy of an experimental new hop strain. It doesn’t look tropical to the eye—it’s a tree bark brown color with a frothy head—but aromas of mango and pineapple intermingle with the malt sweetness to evoke something you might find on an island. Hints of orange, honey and toasted caramel round out the package. This tasty brew can be sampled at London Grill and Victory Beer Hall for a limited time only.
