Oktoberfest is in our rear view mirror as you read this, but thankfully all those Oktoberfest beers are still around. The traditional Marzens quaffed in mass amounts in late September and early October are fantastic brews to enjoy during the autumn months, when their easy drinkability suits the pleasant days and their warming alcohol is perfect for the cooler nights. Hacker-Pschorr’s Oktoberfest beer is one of the core classics of this big German event: a light-bodied amber beer that pours with a massive, fluffy white head and drinks like a glass of the best darn bread you’ve ever had. Eminently drinkable, grainy and crisp with just a hint of bitter hops, this beer is a true fall classic. It’s not an Oktoberfest without a few German beers, and this one is about as German as it gets. It’s still on draft all over the city, too. Prost!
