We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at email@example.com.
A bit smoky, laced with spices and imparting a pleasant warmth without any alcohol burn, Corsendonk Christmas Ale is one of the holiday season’s annual joys. This Belgian strong ale’s burnt sugars mingle with dark fruits (including figs, plums and raisins), rum-glazed nuts and molasses for a complex tapestry made more complex by the addition of, naturally, traditional winter spices. Despite its full body and dark chocolate sweetness, Corsendonk’s wonderful winter beer has a surprisingly dry, almost tart finish, inviting you to take another sip or (even better) pair it with traditional holiday foods. A must-try at least once, you can check it off your list at Alla Spina, Kildare’s and Tap Room on 19th.
