Center City and its neighboring ’hoods aren’t the only places to toss back yummy brews. Here are six great beer bars you can get to on Regional Rail.

Bridgewaters
2951 Market St. 215.387.4787. www.bridgewaterspub.com
30th St. Station
With a list rivaling the best German beer halls, this watering hole will make you want to miss your train.

Teresa’s Next Door

124-26 N. Wayne Ave., Wayne. 610.293.0119
R5 Wayne
Andy Dickerson knew that Wayne needed more Belgium, Boulder and Harrisburg flavors so he installed 26 taps and two handpumps in his Main Line bar.

TJ’S Restaurant and Drinkery
35 Paoli Plaza, Paoli. 610.725.0100. www.tjseveryday.com
R5 Paoli
This Paoli pub is the first drinkery to survive its strip mall location. Owner Jeff Miller attributes his success to a wide selection of craft beer. Try their Anniversary British Pale Ale.

Flying Pig Saloon
121 E. King St., Malvern. 610.578.9208
R5 Malvern
This bar’s pig-themed decor boasts 10 chalkboards offering some of the world’s greatest beers. The owner is a bit of a stasher, so be sure  to ask one of the sassy bar maidens for the vintage list.

The Blue Ox
7980 Oxford Ave. 215.728.9440. www.blueoxbistro.com
R8 Fox Chase
This German brauhaus is on a busy corner in the far Northeast. Bartenders are currently pouring Spaten Holiday Bock, Sly Fox Christmas, Corsendonk Christmas and Troegs Mad Elf.

EARTH Bread + Brewery
7136 Germantown Ave. 215.242.6666. www.earthbreadbrewery.com
R7 Mount Airy
Seed flatbread. Tom Waits. Funky beers with funky names like Santos L. Halper and Here’s Brucker. This trip requires more walking than the others, but it’s worth it.  n
