We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at email@example.com.
Another hop bomb has very quietly conducted its annual invasion of the area’s taps, one brewed right in Pennsylvania! We’re talking about Tröegs Nugget Nectar, a beer we profiled for our 50-beer countdown to Philly Beer Week 2013 and a beer that earns a second mention in our pages. This amber ale on steroids is jacked up with a ridiculous level of hopping, making for an aromatic, tongue-attacking experience. The hops are earthy, piney, and rather dank (in the best way possible). A toffee-heavy malt body supports all that hopping flawlessly, allowing this beer to boast aggressive hop flavor and aroma while still maintaining an impressive level of drinkability. No one brews a better hoppy red ale. Nugget Nectar is currently on draft in over 30 bars and taverns. Go get some before it’s gone.
