Long before the trend took hold, Oskar Blues made themselves famous by being one of America’s first craft breweries to focus on putting great beers in a can. At one time people scoffed. Now everyone else is playing follow the leader. While beers like Mama’s Little Yella Pils and Dale’s Pale Ale seem right at home in a can, something like Ten FIDY is the last thing you’d expect to find in one (unless that can is a keg, of course). This is a giant, roasty, chocolate-heavy imperial stout of epic proportions. A whopping 10 percent ABV put it in the heavyweight class. A blistering 98 IBUs makes it as bitter as the most aggressive of IPAs. And intense flavors of chocolate, coffee, and rich roast crank the intensity up to 10.
