PW's Year of Beer: Long Trail IPA

Long Trail’s bread and butter is in making solid, approachable beers. It makes sense that the brewer then presents its IPA as a well-balanced, herbal IPA with pine-forward hops and a biscuity malt sweetness. The faint citrus aroma and moderate pine bitterness is balanced nicely with the grainy malt profile. The body is light, the bitterness has a slightly earthy spice kick and the whole package screams, “great for social drinking.” It doesn’t beg for your attention. Sometimes that’s just what you want. Give it a whirl at Revolution House.
