We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at email@example.com.
If you don’t like fruit beers, move along. This is going to be horrify you. But if you enjoy a good fruit-infused beer, prepare yourself for an absolutely intense experience. Rubaeus is a raspberry brew with the raspberry turned up to 11. Pouring a cherry red with a fluffy pink head, Rubaeus has a surprisingly creamy body and mouthfeel. Fruit aromas and flavors are bold and assertive, with big sweetness, raspberry tartness, and juicy, chewy fruit throughout. A mild Earthiness brings to mind Belgian ales, and a touch of acidity (rather than hop bitterness) keeps the sweetness from being overpowering. Taken on its own or blended with a chocolate stout, Rubaeus is a show-stopper of a fruit beer. Try it at Khyber Pass Pub, London Grill, Fountain Porter, The Goat’s Beard and The Greeks Next Doors.
