We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at

Everything these guys touch turns to gold, so it’s no surprise that Pale 31 is a top shelf ale that leaves a good deal of its competition in the dust. Light bodied, crisp and dry, this beer boasts the easy drinkability you want in a pale ale without sacrificing flavor. The hops are bright and floral, with the touches of orange peel in the mix reminding you of a clear, sunny day. The taste is a mix of biscuits, grains and cereal, with an herbal bitterness just barely kissed by a hint of pine. For all the big beers Firestone does, Pale 31 is proof they can do the “little” beers well, too. I’d complain that it took them way too long to bring it to the East Coast, but it’s here now. Go grab some at Race Street, Sancho Pistolas, Pitchers Pub and other locations.
