We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at email@example.com.
The now commonplace anniversary beer is a chance for brewers to try something a little different and to commemorate major milestones. These beers tend to be big, potent, and flavorful: The 18th anniversary beer from Weyerbacher is no exception. This weizenbock is as bready as it is brown, as creamy as it is complex, and as textured as it is terrific; faint hints of banana and cloves struggle to make themselves known over the taste and aroma of thick, sweet brown breads, soft caramel, and chewy toffee of this meal in a glass. Alcohol heat reminds you that you’re drinking a big beer – it’s just over 11% ABV – but the silky soft mouthfeel of this brew serves as a balance to the burn. Available for a limited time, try it at Churchville Inn.
