How well do you know your Celtic history? Celtic women were distinct in the ancient world for the liberty and rights they enjoyed and the position they held in society. Compared to their counterparts in Greek, Roman, and other ancient societies, they were allowed much freedom of activity and protection under the law. They were even trained to fight with swords and other weapons alongside young men, and served as both warriors and rulers.

Spend the evening at the historic Single Sisters' House with Marcie Mulligan of Celtic Fest learning about the history and culture of Celtic women through the present-day Celtic nations!

Presented as part of the Single Sisters Program Series, sponsored in part by Fig Bethlehem.
