Centered around the reflective lyrics and soaring vocals of Megan Flechaus, Austin-based indie group FlecHaus plays an accessible, mature brand of American folk music. In 2015, Megan formed the five piece group FlecHaus, teaming up with Dominick Chaillot (bass), Molly Fischer (supporting vocals), JJ Pereira (percussion) and the classical flutist Kenzie Slottow (flute and supporting vocals). Their songs incorporate sophisticated harmonies, experiment with length and form, and borrow freely from jazz, blues, and country. Their debut single “What We’ve Got,” won the L.A. Music Critic Award for Best Group Single in 2017, and in 2019, their single “Beautiful Things” won the Vox Pop (Fan Favorite) award in the Independent Music Awards for Best Song in the Adult Contemporary category. FlecHaus is scheduled to tour nationally in summer 2019 in support of their new EP, Last Match, available June 29th, 2019. You can hear them online via YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, and anywhere else you get your digital media. You can also visit them on social media under the handle @flechausmusic to find out more about shows and the latest happenings.
