James Castle

Felipe Jesus Consalvos

Fleisher/Ollman is pleased to announce our summer exhibition, Castle/Consalvos, which showcases the breadth of these two self-taught artists’ respective bodies of work, and reveals interesting resonances regarding their embrace of popular culture. Works by James Castle (1899–1977) will include handmade books, figurative and symbol-based drawings, and constructions. On view from Felipe Jesus Consalvos (1891–c. 1960s) will be a selection of collages on both paper and objects, including candlesticks, a waste bin, and a razor.
