Nine Things I Hate About Jimmy Fallon

It's the SNL star's time. Why? I don't get it!

In the annoyingly unfunny "Idiot Boyfriend" video, Fallon changes costume numerous times, sings in a falsetto and humps the face of an old lady. Which brings us to the most annoying part about him ...

8. His Lack of Originality

As a comedian, Fallon is pretty vacant. All he really does well is imitate people, and though he does this to a T, it's not quite enough. And while his college humor is sometimes mildly entertaining, he doesn't possess any of the qualities that made the SNL cast members he is frequently compared to stars: the sharp wit of Mike Myers, the wild do-anything-for-a-laugh energy of Chris Farley or the edginess of Chris Rock. Rather, Fallon trades on ...

9. His Self-Effacing Schtick

Of all the hideous celebrity behaviors, acting like you just "accidentally" became famous after you've clawed your way to the top tooth and nail is perhaps the most vile. In a recent interview with USA Today, Fallon, "slightly rumpled in brown Levi cords, black-and-white Pony sneakers and a red T-shirt worn inside out," bemoans his lot in life: "My doorman is so tired of seeing my face." Loathsome.

We get it, you're in love with him because you think that every single time he looks into the camera and laughs (as he does on every single SNL skit he's ever been in), you think he's looking at you, right? I agree he's not as funny as Craig Ferguson, but he isn't THAT bad! In my opinion, he's way better than Letterman & The Chin. -_-

And what's all this about him laughing at his own jokes? O_o I watch his show quite often, and I rarely see him smile, let alone laugh. The only time he smiles, it seems, is when the celebrity guest comes on.

If only he was a little more relaxed. Craig has this wonderful, carefree sense of humor, and I wish Jimmy had that. Maybe if he did, people like you wouldn't judge him so quickly.

I feel for Jimmy, I really do.
I, personally, think he's alright in the comedy department and super adorable in appearance! He definitely doesn't deserve all of this hate, and it makes me psychically ill to see such things posted about him. >_< Grow up a little, and just give him another chance. No straight man should ever go out of their way to make their hair look good. I applaud him for the look. There is no problem with his name. Refer to #19 and #20. They have the right idea. #15...I just hope you're sent to some sort of mental hospital. You don't even know the guy. The way Jimmy has portrayed himself, so far, only tells me that he is an open-minded individual who likes to have fun. Last I checked, that's exactly what the human race should be doing. Fans have a reason to post; haters are wasting their time. So, #15, I would change your tune quickly because, if your wish for a hellbound Jimmy Fallon comes true, you'll be stuck down there with him for all eternity. He often tries to upstage his own guests (see blurred lines video) and to be honest I just hate his face. He seems to have the most luck I've ever seen in Hollywood though. Mediocre on SNL (the laughing got old really quickly. You're supposed to make us laugh not yourself), does a couple years in late night television, has The Roots as a house band, and somehow he becomes the choosen one to take over the Tonight Show.....because Conan wasn't funny enough and too wet behind the ears for the job. “The only thing that I can agree on with you in this list is: his overexposure on the network, especially, and everywhere on television these days - only for his role on Late Night. Besides that: I have different reasons on why I hate him and they're beyond what the Internet should not say, due to the implications of the wording and phrasing implied. When I started watching SNL, I actually considered him to be a decent comedian, if that - only average - not a well-rounded comedian (i.e., Bill Hicks)... Jimmy Fallon was decent back in 1998-1999, and after a while, he just got under my skin, well, in 2004, during "Taxi." I mean everyone in SNL... It seemed as if there was more SNL cast members in movies, this is where they only had to be on SNL and they automatically received a movie deal. It wasn't him that made me stopped watching Saturday night Live, it was the fact that the jokes were hit-and-miss. The jokes are not even witty, and their political views are just bullshit - it's irrelevant to the situation, I just had to say something on the topic. Furthermore, once you go pass the jokes and sketches it was considered to be a waste of time - I thought the musical guest were also bullshit - and they mock everyone whose on it, or who performs on it, that week. Plus, the musical guest[s] were one the run-of-the-mill musical guest out there. The same goes for the guest[s]. Finally, to end this paragraph, I do not know how NBC gave him a show; I think it was either his time on SNL or mediocre movie career...

Go back to the music reference on SNL, that is what Jimmy Fallon does, especially on his show. I've seen it a couple of times, it's just like SNL: it's a hit-and-miss, but a thousand times worse. He mocks everyone on his show, whose either a musician or a guest, it just depends on the guest or the musician. During the performance, Jimmy MAKES the audience as a requirement clap or dance along, for example, look at the performance[s] - it's the most plastic of anything in my entire existence living on this planet regarding a "concert" on television. Meanwhile, during the interview of a guest[s], he coerced and proselytes them into doing redundant things that are not worth their time. Example: beer games. The beer games on Jimmy Fallon that they attempt and have, they intentionally rely on other variables implied in the situation to make it remotely excellent. If you want to analyze it: the audience members think it's cool and exhilarated by the games with alcohol; however, it's not, it's just promoting ALCOHOL. NBC just promotes the usage of alcohol on their network, even if some of the guest on the show are not even of legal drinking age, and NBC is hypocritical towards the drinking age of 21. On Jimmy Fallon's show, there are literally to 17-20 year olds drinking on television, oh wait, they can because they have siege of power on the rest of world - due to the agency that they're on.

Another point that I hate Jimmy Fallon: he won't shut the fuck up an entire episode for more than 3 minutes at all, that would be an entire commercial break. Or he shuts up, when the guest appears and is introduced by Jimmy Fallon or by the announcer to tell when the guest in on. He literally comments on everything and I mean everything, and this is why the show is illiterate and over-exposed quickly. The novelty is worn off quicker than the leprosy disease coming to infect the population of the United in literally a month. Yes I know that analogy was extreme, however, it got the message across, right? Since, Jimmy won't restrain himself and even emit a gag order on show, the joke become boring as shit in the process. If you comment on everything, the show just become tedious and redundant (from an audience and/or viewer's perspective), and you already know what to expect to the show. Sure, once-in-a-while, it's okay, when he won't shut up - however, that rarely occurs. It's moderately average depending on the guest[s] - then yes, I would consider it mostly shit. If it's not for the guest[s] that I do want, the show is trash and worthless of being on a network that promotes more propaganda for an ultra-capitalistic society, which I consider borderline socialist. (Even if I think that every network in America is a part of a multinational conglomerate and they're together as one.) And yes, I'm hypocritical in this sentence because I watch television, I will admit that statement; however, I'm just stating the facts here.

Relating to the jokes: Just like Letterman, he has to make a forced laughter situation hilarious to the point, it wasn't hilarious - it's all devoid of it. Out of nowhere, it becomes a joke? How is that even logically possible? It's all of these television agencies they have to yet again bullshit everything and I mean everything, for the simple idea of capitalism and media manipulation. Everyone whose in the audience laughs at it unintentionally because Jimmy has to laugh to make the jokes remotely comedical in the structure of joke. Jimmy stops and freezes for a second, and then - BAM! - laughs at his own joke. After looking back: isn't that almost every comedian on television? However I will state that the worst offender of this is Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy is the worst offender of this because he literally spaces out to insinuate a joke will be more hilarious than its actual message. The joke and the punchline come into effect in the wrong way. I swear the jokes that I just described early are in a horribly dry and pseudo-witty style, which ARE puns that state this: "What's a falling star? A star that falls to the ground in Hollywood." I have a sense of humor and it's fucked up just to inform you people on the Internet that the jokes are terribly done... Yet I do not laugh at any jokes on the show, then why do I watch?... I think it's the smartass style of the approach that makes its original compare to everyone on television (as of now).

- He's overexposed
- Forced laughter
- Mocks everyone for attention
- Won't shut up; he doesn't for an entire second
- The jokes are redundant and they're useless, and not hilarious.

How is hair even involved here? Who fucking cares? The same applies to the name. The name is just a name to me, however, if it was: Robjejactieva Smartlyaset, then I would roll my head in a 360 degree turn more than four times and stare for a while. (Or any names on Maury...) To put the nail on the coffin, the name doesn't make the show for me, it's the jokes and the environment of the implied structure of the show. The magazine cover is in the same way just like the two aforementioned topics mentioned in the paragraph, and they were "hair and name" - mainly because it's a simple magazine that's useless in real life, and it's not real life. The magazine is just a separation from real to fantasy, you wish that you could be in the magazine or you want to have that life, and you can't. A magazine doesn't dictate anyone, except if you think it's a religion (apparently) by the fact you have to constantly absorb it to make it transparent. I'm Jewish and I think that those magazines are good to read in moderation, I do not want to play the double-standard card - because I just admitted that I have a religion. Look, I'm not telling you what you need to do, watch, or have a view point on it - it's the principal of the situation. The situation is people have too much time on their hands to have an argument on a topic that is irrelevant to any topic in life. I have those topics (once-in-awhile) but not over a late-night talk-show host. I know people who consider the Rolling Stone, People, or Spin, their day-to-day life, all day, every day. That's their life, not mine. Another issue is the album and music video, I haven't heard and/or seen it - I plan not to - it probably is boring (knowing Jimmy), that is beside the point. The point is: the point is people see or listen to anything inasmuch as it's a joke or they actually do it, they're an actual fan of the particular subject. Back to the actual point of this paragraph: if they will have hair, name, magazine, album and video, that's irrelevant to the entire show, and none of your concern, why should you care? But then, if you freak out over those topics, well, that's your right, it's none of my concern, however.

I thought Jay was a "class act". I know there are times when all good things need to come to an end, but I do miss The Tonight Show with Jay Leno!! Guess NBC had to do what they thought was for the best. I really like Jimmy, but I think the Tonight Show needs to be a little more classier & not all of some of the silly stuff that was on "Late Night"we. I think the games are too childish. Leave that for "Late Night"!!

Another thing is I think Seth Meyers is doing an excellent job with his show!!:). Seth is funny & sweet! I really love him too!

“1. I hate Fallon's serious effort to copy Johnny Carson, especially when delivering his monologue, down to the smallest movements, style and body language: hands in pocket, buttoned jacket, way he makes self-effacing remarks, shoulders back and lifting up and down as he chuckles at his own jokes with fake smile, pressing his tongue against the inside of his mouth cheeks after he delivers a one-liner, the manner of deadpan delivery during which he flaps his elbows a bit, sometimes pointing his finger into the air at his side and/or turning palm up, then putting his finger to his lips and/or side of his nose, bopping a bit by lifting himself on his heals and/or toes or back and's so obvious a ploy it makes me want me want to puke. I'm old enough to have watched Carson regularly. The combination of the above was Carson's signature. If Fallon did it as an occasional spoof, fine. At least Carson exuded some warmth & sincerity. Fallon is robotic & creepy.

All he is, is a fake, and that's all he'll ever be.
You need to wake up and see that.

P.S - Nice comeback? I bet that's what you say to everyone who proves you wrong.”

“I started out really enjoying his show, stopped watching Leno years ago and didn'care for Letterman. I happen to be a Ferguson he has me laughing out loud, and I never do that!
What has worn on me with Jimmy is the following:
He never shuts up...always interrupting guests...maybe we would like to hear their Carson let us do.
He's always telling too much of an upcoming movie plot...has ticked off some guests and myself, for doing's because he has to have the last word, always.
Sick of the stupid games...fill that space with a comedian or another guest or just listening to the Roots play.
His jokes lately have been bordering crass, and for some reason they bother me more when he tells them, than Craig's versions. He's also started on the Jesus jokes...not cool!
That said, I like his bits after the monologue, and his impressions are now I turn it off after that unless there is a guest I want to see, because God knows I won't hear them.”

“I found this site because I just got so annoyed with one of his awkward NBC promotion beer games with SNL cast and host, I had to see if anyone else gets irritated by Jimmy. His interviews and games are so childish and awkward, sometimes I have to fast forward. Really makes me sad that Letterman will soon be gone. Fallon really is a hack, he admits it all the time. He is an amalgamation of every talent he ever admired. Just as his impressions are spot on, he emulates his heros, so it all comes across as insincere and crafted. I guess that appeals to the lowest common denominator, but I certainly never feel smarter after watching.”

“Wish the guy could conduct an interview. There is nothing so wrong as to imitate someone to their face-- especially his atrocious British accent that every British must loathe. And could he ask a question or get a sentence out without stuttering just once? And the fake sincerity-- just take a listen to how often he talks about himself and not about his guest. And he does not thank his guest at the end of the show, but runs off to the audience to fill his own ego, leaving his guest just sitting there. That's just bad manners. And he'll have an amazing guest on and just play some stupid game with them and then get all pissy if he loses and he can barely keep it together to talk to them. And he named his daughter after the city of Winnipeg (that's where Winnie the Pooh got his name, of course). Other late night hosts have ordinary people on once in a while or help out a new comedian, band, or actor, but not Fallon-- he only wants the big names so he can play fan boy. Ugh.”

“Guys who "like" Fallon talk about people who genuinely dislike the quality of his comedy and content, as if they have an agenda to destroy him because they are jealous or whatever other reasons that they can come up with. My appeal to such people is to please grow up. Grow up and look outside your little caves. If you think Fallon is funny, then clearly your taste for humour is as low as it can get.”

“There are a lot of adolescents who watch JF late night.. and even more adults with adolescent minds who are able to laugh at his jokes and skits. This enormous audience is his goldmine but his product would not sell otherwise. I rarely watch him because I get so totally bored very quickly.. as I am absolutely sure anyone with a real sense of humor does as well. I don't hate him or want to see him fail...but it is just sort of painful to watch him. I simply change the channel after giving him a chance at being funny, because I am bored. I am not shocked that so many love him because there have never been so many in this country who have so little upstairs as well as love to hate.... ... But it must absolutely wear him out, putting himself through this routine for a buck.. If he ever comes to his senses he will walk away from this whole fake clown routine and begin to do what he was meant to do... unless he has become his product... which would be sad.”
