The big hair, the eccentric Philly accents, the obnoxious personalities – it’s all part of The Waitstaff’s sketch production of the Real Housewives of South Philly. While these ladies may not have bleach-blonde hair extensions and Botox-filled faces like the housewives of Beverly Hills or Orange County, they do have that infamous Philly flava. That being said, you can definitely expect some smack-talking, fist-throwing and voices that could scare away young children. Are they poking fun at society’s obsession with superficial reality TV shows or is it just an opportunity to spend a Wednesday night sick to your stomach from laughter? Either way, you don’t want to miss the hot-rollers, bad wigs and cheap cotton pajamas of these distinctive housewives. And let’s face it, a couple of Philly gals are probably way funnier than all those Bravo bitches. Well, unless you find great amusement in botched liposuction.
