Your comedy is very honest, particularly in regard to your being a recovering alcoholic. Do you find that the best comedy comes from a dark place?

Funny’s funny—if it’s dark or if it’s Newhart talking about King Kong walking up the Empire State Building. For every bit I’ve got about trying to buy crack, I’ve got four about The Dark Knight and Ultimate Fighting.
