The show’s title is from the 1958 novel, The Poetics of Space. In it, author Gaston Bachelard ties imagination and experience to the home and the things inside it. And that’s where the theme for the show comes from. The show presents sculptural work from Stephen Eichorn, Ryan Fenchel, Carson Fisk-Vittori, and Heidi Norton, all organized by Joe Jeffers. The artists are decorating Bodega’s blank space with handmade pieces, studio models, and pieces taken from the artists’ homes. The assortment is meant to represent function and formality, so the exhibit will be changing throughout the month, at the artists’ whims. Think plain white shelves with handmade sculptures and assorted knickknacks. There will be a First Friday reception on April 1, from 6-10 p.m.
Thru Apr. 23. Bodega, 253 N. Third St. 215.440.0711
