La Baker

Josephine Baker was the iconic precursor to the Beyoncés and Janets of the world, storming Paris with her provocative banana skirts and risque topless glamour shots. Temple students and faculty stage a tribute to the African-American expat. 7:30pm, $15-$20. Conwell Dance Theater, 1801 N. Broad St.

Poetic Passageways

The enchanting magic gardens of Philly will be background to performers interpreting the works of Dadaists and Surrealists such as Duchamp and Apollinaire in an audience-collaborative show. 7pm, $12-$15. Philadelphia’s Magic Garden, 1020 South St.

Le Bateau Lavoir

This day-long freebie, inspired by the bohemian Parisian artists clique consisting of Picasso, Gertrude Stein and others, will feature a poetry, performance, conversation, drink and food marathon. Free. Institute of Contemporary Art, 118 S. 36th St.
