"I'm self-taught. I was always interested in jewelry and began making little things here and there. I just learned from my mistakes. I guess it found me; I didn't find it. I sometimes dream about my designs at night. It's kind of like an explosion in my brain. I just sit down at my desk and feel different stones; I never know what's going to happen. I do neck pieces, which are more like collars, and bracelets and earrings. Everything is handmade and I don't really use any equipment, just pliers and snips. I collect stones, the weirder the color and cut, the more I like them. I travel a lot. I go back to Lithuania, where I'm from, to get all of my amber. I also have a personal collection of different scraps of leather and fabrics and found objects that I incorporate into my designs. I don't sketch anything so a lot of my pieces are just impossible to recreate."
