"A lot of my ideas don't even come from hair. I can get ideas just looking at fabric. I draw from real-life experiences. I got back from India, which got me on this whole color and texture kick. I love having a younger clientele. Young people are willing to take more risks. I'm known for more avant-garde cuts and color, so I tend to do a lot of asymmetrical cuts with hard lines. I have fear in every other part of my life. This is the only area of my life that I don't feel fear. I have fear in relationships, fear in general life stuff, but with this--no fear. Pink inspires me--a little homage to the Philly girl. The whole Old City/Northern Liberties thing is my territory. I love my job."
