Secret Pants Presents “A Banner
Year at the Ol’ Bender Household”
Sun., Dec. 23, Johnny Brenda’s. johnnybrendas.com
Overall vibe: Three hours of relentlessly inappropriate holiday-centric gags from several of the city’s finest comedic talents.
Most memorable moment: It’s a three-way tie between Emily and Micah McGraw’s musical endorsement of Tasers, Randi Warhol’s hilarious striptease as a mullet-haired Canadian hockey player and ManiPedi’s Aubrey Williams smashing an elaborate gingerbread house as Joseph Stalin.
Scene stealer: All seven members of Secret Pants. Whether juggling a Baby Jesus as The Three Wise Men/Three Stooges or firing Santa as two diabolical Apple executives, the troupe lived up to their reputation as Philly’s reining king’s of sketch comedy, all while completely desecrating the sanctity of
Christmas. (Nicole Finkbiner)
