On the corner of McClellan and Fifth streets in South Philadelphia, a group of young boys pass the afternoon executing daredevil flips off a stack of old throwaway mattresses. A woman driving by, novice photographer Zoe Strauss, glimpses the small bodies somersaulting through the air. Startled, she pulls over, and winds up snapping seven or eight quick photographs.

I think this is a great look for hip-hop. I’m really tired of people in my hood acting like killing and robbing is so cool. I also would like to see rappers talk about something other than money and hoes.

I’ve been to Philly a lot and I never found the men to be that poorly dressed. Then again, I love satin Phillies jackets. Washington, D.C., on the other hand— whoa. Those guys need to take a good hard look in the mirror. They are a little too comfortable with pleats in that town.
