In other words, he may be poised to change the face of hip-hop.

In a Dream isn’t comparable to Nathaniel Kahn’s My Architect, the documentary Louis Kahn’s son made about his father’s double life. In fact, In a Dream doesn’t feel like it was made by the subject’s son at all; the director himself rarely acknowledges his own presence, even during deeply personal moments.

In France the thirtysomething writer/director/actor Emmanuel Mouret is considered, at least by himself, to be a handsome, Gallic version of Woody Allen. His latest, the amusingly bone-dry Shall We Kiss?, seems to have taken the aforementioned classic moment of intellectualized romance as its inspiration.
